This year we are pulling all the stops out to demonstrate using fun ways the diversity and power of steam engines to children and families. We are hoping this will include:
Model steam engines demonstrate their power by giving free rides to children.
A 1905 steam powered fire engine racing to put out real fires.
The crushing power of steam rollers and the pulling power of mighty traction engines.
The "Steam engines at war" section will show how soldiers used steam engines to send secret messages behind enemy lines. How steam engines defused un-exploded bombs and fought fires in the London blitz.
A unique steam powered organ will play popular tunes while children can explore the models tent full of vintage toys and trains.
